Dr. Amandeep Riar, DVM                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Veterinarian/Owner

Dr. Riar was born into a farming family in Punjab, India. His lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian doctor came true when he graduated as a veterinarian in 1999 (India). He completed his master’s degree in veterinary sciences and decided to start his own small animal practice in India. He moved to Edmonton in 2007 and has been living there with his wonderful wife and two beautiful children. Dr. Riar completed the rigorous certification process to practice veterinary medicine in Canada and got his certification of qualification from Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) in the year 2012. He volunteered for one year at the Humane Society and practiced as a small animal veterinarian for two years in both Edmonton and Calgary. Dr. Riar has had the privilege to own and operate a veterinary clinic in Morinville for the past four years and now he has the opportunity to practice closer to his family while serving his community better. Dr. Riar has now brought his expertise and confidence to Edmonton Dogs & Cats Veterinary Hospital, to earn your trust in keeping your pets happy and healthy. His interests include Dentistry, soft tissue surgeries and client education. Regardless of his busy schedule, he loves to enjoy spending time with his family and friends.
